Civics, explained

COMMUNITY EDITION · PILOT

Your learning data.

This independent study tool helps you practice civics. It is not USCIS and does not make citizenship or eligibility decisions.

What is stored

Supabase manages your email and sign-in sessions. The learning app stores your account identifier, display name, lesson progress, draft practice answers, and your saved official-reference settings. AI request counts are stored to enforce program allowances. Learners cannot view each other’s records. Program operators administer the service and can access its stored data.

AI and voice

When AI grading is enabled and you request it, the question, practice answer, and any relevant official reference are sent to OpenAI using the program’s API account. The app requests that responses are not stored as retrievable API response objects; provider operational retention policies still apply. Audio is not saved by this app. Browser voice recognition may use your browser provider’s speech service.

Your choices

You can explore lessons without registering; preview progress is kept only for the browser tab’s session. Registered learners can download their learning data from the account page. Sign out when using a shared device. Do not enter immigration records, government identifiers, payment information, or other sensitive documents into practice answers.

Before the program opens to students

This pilot is awaiting its sponsoring organization’s contact information and retention/deletion process. The operator must publish those details before inviting students. Email delivery and AI billing may remain disabled during setup.
